The floorboards of the aircraft are mounted onto the aluminium structure of the aircraft. Made out of composite material, they help to distribute the weight of the pilots and the cockpit seats. Measuring 10 mm in thickness, floorboards are designed to slot below the substructure interior liners.

When designing the structure of the flight simulator one has to account for the rudder pedals, substructure mounting points, pedestal, and the cockpit seats. The pedestal also has a substructure which connects to the trim wheel control and seeds below the flightdeck. All these components should be carefully measured and incorporated into the foundation plans.

The foundation of the simulator will have to be carefully designed to fit the floorboards
