XHSI 2.0 Beta 11 Release

It finally looks like we have a capable avionics suite which we can use with X-Plane.

There is an incredible amount of new features in the XHSI 2.0 Beta 11 December 20th, 2018 release:

Version 2 : windows for ND, PFD, EICAS, MFD, MCDU and a cluster with gear, flaps and annunciators

ND (Navigation Display) :
– Boeing or Airbus style

PFD (Primary Flight Display) with:
– Boeing or Airbus style
– Attitude Indicator with Flight Director, FPV (Flight Path Vector) and OM, MM, IM marker indicators
– Speedtape with 10sec speed trend, autopilot/auto-throttle speed bug, Vne, Vmo, Mmo, Vs, Vso and estimates for Vr and Vref
– Altitude tape with autopilot altitude bug, TDZ (Touch Down Zone) altitude
– Vertical Speed Indicator with autopilot VS bug
– Barometer/QNH readout
– Radar Altimeter
– Heading Indicator with autopilot heading bug
– Flight Mode Annunciators with autopilot current and armed settings (compatibility with the x737 custom autopilot will be for later versions)

EICAS (Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System) with:
– Boeing or Airbus style
– N1 or EPR /EGT/N2/FF dials for jets, TRQ/ITT/RMP dials for turboprop, MAP/RPM/EGT/FF for piston; for up to 8 engines
– Annunciators for Low Oil Pressure, High Oil Temperature and Low Fuel Pressure
– Fuel level dials for 1, 2 or 3 tanks or a single dial with total fuel for more tanks, values can be displayed in Kg, Lb, US Gallon (for AvGas) or Liter (for AvGas)

MFD (Multi-Function Display) displays information for the nearest airport, or the airport that is set as destination airport in the FMS or the airport for which we are tuned to an ILS:
– Airport elevation
– Runway size and surface
– ILS (or Localizer) ident and frequencies
– Comm radios
– Ground chart
– Boeing or Airbus style secondary EICAS

MCDU (Multi-Function Control Display)
– Airbus A320 style for the JAR and QPAC A320
– X-FMC style for the X-FMC
– Dummy display if none of the above

Annunciators:
– Flaps position (flaps handle position and actual deployment)
– Gear status for up to 10 gears
– Master Caution and Master Warning
– Stall, Terrain, Autopilot Disconnect, Low Fuel Level and Ice Detect warnings
– Pitot Heater (off=amber)
– Gear warning
– Speed Brake (armed=green, half=blue, full=amber)
– Parking Brake (set when in the air=red, full when on the ground=amber, half when on the ground=blue)
– Auto Brake (RTO in the air or 1,2,3,MAX on the ground=amber, RTO on the ground or 1,2,3,MAX in the air=green)

In the Preferences screen, tab “WINDOWS”, you can choose to display all or only some of these Windows, hide the window title bars and borders, lock the window positions on the screen

Installation is similar to version 1. The XHSI2_plugin folder should go in X-Plane’s /Resources/plugins/ folder (remember to delete, or put aside the old version 1 XHSI_plugin)
Put the file(s) from XHSI2_app/Windows, XHSI2_app/Mac or XHSI2_app/Linux in a folder of your choice.

Update Beta 11 :

ND: Flight Plan Discontinuities are now managed (waypoints with LAT=0 & LON=0)
ND: Range and mode fixed for QPAC A320
ND: New command datarefs to manage range and mode
ND Weather Radar : Compute automatic radar tilt (based on Primus 2000 manual)
FMS: New FMS packet with extended data : winds, speed constraints, holding, arc/dme, discontinuities
CDU: UFMC done
CLOCK: Digital and Analog clock, with active buttons and Elapsed Timer
MFD: MFD Control panel (Airbus Style ECAM control panel with XHSI addons)
