The avionics program Jeehell FMGS includes an incredible pilot training tool – a full featured intercom application.
The program simulates aircraft intercom functionality. Headsets and boom microphones can be setup for the pilots, and even an instructor. The program integrates directly with the Airbus Audio Control Panel (ACP) and the push-to-talk (PTT) buttons of the aircraft allowing it to be used for crew familiarization and training of the cockpit audio systems.
The systems are accurately represented. For example, voice will not transmit on the microphones unless the transmit button on the ACP has been selected. VHF radio reception is not heard unless the VHF receive knob is enabled. The reception volume can also be adjusted with knobs of the ACP and the loudspeaker. ILS, VOR, MKR, MLS, ADF can be selected and tones will be audible. The ACP also correctly operates according to the aircraft bus power state (on/off).
The Jeehell FMGS intercom application has seamless integration with virtual air traffic simulation networks such as Vatsim and IVAO. A PTT key can be configured to be used with these applications, and the intercom application is logic smart, only transmitting the configured key and routing audio with the appropriate ACP logic, and if the physical PTT button is pressed.
Jeehell FMGS also provides ACP and RMP virtual panel programs if you do not have the appropriate ACP or RMP hardware. In addition the commercial FMGS Pro version has ASIO functionality allowing for low latency audio implementation.
The intercom application provides excellent value (free) for real world pilots and aviation enthusiast, bridging realistic training scenarios into the simulator. The intercom application can also be implemented for Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) courses for commercial customers (Jeehell FMGS Pro required).

Virtual audio cables can be used to route radio input and output (2 are required).
VB-Cable A+B is recommended.
After installation ensure the sampling rate matches with the microphone (look at your device settings) or the output quality will be poor. Internal sampling rates can be changed in the cable control panels. The cables settings in Windows sound should also be configured to match the sample rate (recording tab, properties, Advance, default format).
Configure the microphones, headsets, speakers, and VB-Audio Cables in the intercom application. Cable-A is set as the external radio in, and Cable-B is set as external radio out.
Select a PTT key – this should be the same key used in your Vatsim or IVAO application program. Insert is the key used in this example.
** Ensure Prepar3D, Vpilot/IVap and the FMGS intercom application all run in either Windows full administrative rights or no administrative rights or the PTT key will not transmit
Finally, setup the VB-Audio Cables in your virtual air traffic simulation program. The microphone device is set to Cable-B, and Output Device as Cable A.
