Fenix planning to officially support 3rd party Hardware

According to Aamir at Fenix, their A320 V2 product will be planning to support 3rd party avionics hardware.

“After a solid year or maybe longer of negotiation and talking and discussing we’ve come to an agreement with the fine folks down at Prosim and we are going to unlock hardware support for people that want to use stuff like mini fcus and what not, this has involved a little bit of a change to our licensing agreement that we have with them.

This may not come with block 2; we’ve come to an agreement. I got to do the paperwork and I’m hoping to do the paperwork by the time block two releases I expect I’ll do the paperwork by the time block 2 releases but if I don’t it’ll come quite likely in pretty much the first update to block 2″

Home users are already able to use flight deck hardware with Fenix so it is understandable and appreciable that the Fenix team would like to bring out official support with software quality control.
